Color Work Techiques with Janessa

UPDATE:  Class dates are changing to Feb 4, Feb 11 and Feb 18

HOMEWORK BEFORE FIRST CLASS:

Cast on 160 stitches in a DK weight yarn on a size 4 circular needle using a 30" OR 32" cable. Complete one inch of 2x2 ribbing. A solid or tonal is recommended.

Other needles and yarn:  size 6 needles and for yarn you can do the following.  For simpler color work select another DK yarn iN a color that has a high contrast to your first yarn.

For more complicated, select contrasting yarn in fingering (you will double it up) in a variety of colors or some minis.  This will allow you to create more interest.

May be hard to decide so bring your choices and you can decide with Janessa's help.  Keep in mind if the colors are close to the main color you will lose definition in the color work!

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: You must be able to knit at an intermediate level - cast on, complete ribbing and know how to knit bin the round. Having do next color work before is helpful but not required.
Requirements: You will need circular needles in a US 4 and a US 6 plus a circular cord of 30/32. Prior to class please complete the homework as outlined.
